The Nitron Development Team is committed to pushing suspension performance forward, regardless of a vehicle’s age or platform. In the case of the Emira V6 (22-), we recognised that integrating the latest suspension technology was key to unlocking the car’s full dynamic potential.
Since the car does not come equipped with an electronic suspension system, the Nitron Development Team identified the elec-TRON range as an ideal solution. This advanced system combines Nitron’s renowned engineering quality and meticulous attention to detail with state-of-the-art electronic damping technology.
At the core of the elec-TRON system is Nitron’s proprietary proportional solenoid valve, which offers exceptional precision and responsiveness. Each damper features an independent electronic valve, enabling fully individualised damping control at all four corners of the vehicle. This level of control is critical for optimising handling, stability, and ride comfort, whether on the road or the track.
The team also aimed to maintain everyday drivability, ensuring the suspension setup remained comfortable and practical for regular use. To enhance real-world usability and provide added protection over speed bumps and steep inclines, they integrated the new Nitron Front Axle Lift (FAL) system into the design.
Upon the vehicle’s arrival at the Nitron facility, the engineering team began by precisely measuring and 3D-scanning the wheel arches using Peel software. This process allowed them to generate an accurate digital model of the wheel turret interiors. The resulting 3D geometry was then integrated with detailed suspension schematics created in CAD software, enabling the team to design components with a perfect fit and seamless integration into the Emira’s chassis.
What was developed?
Nitron Front Axle Lift (FAL) Kits
The Nitron Front Axle Lift (FAL) system was installed on the Emira V6 to address ground clearance issues and enhance drivability over obstacles such as speed bumps, steep driveways, or uneven surfaces.
The Development Team was able to seamlessly integrate the FAL with the Emira V6’s existing suspension architecture, employing compact hydraulic actuators mounted within the front struts. At the push of a button (see image below), the system will temporarily raise the car by 25mm at the shock, enough to prevent scraping the undercarriage without compromising handling when lowered.
Nitron engineered this kit specifically for the Emira V6, ensuring OEM-level fit and function while maintaining the car’s weight balance and driving dynamics. This modification will allow owners to confidently use their V6 in real-world driving conditions without sacrificing performance or aesthetics. All Emira FAL kits come supplied with lift cylinders, hydraulic lines, pump, pump bracket, wiring loom and controller.
Nitron elec-TRON Suspension Kits
The Nitron elec-TRON range is a cutting-edge upgrade that transforms the handling and ride quality of the Emira V6. Designed to combine Nitron’s renowned precision engineering with advanced electronically controlled damping, elec-TRON kits allow drivers to fine-tune their suspension setup on the fly, perfect for those who want both track-day sharpness and everyday comfort. Unlike the factory passive dampers, it continuously adjusts in real time, optimising rebound and compression to suit driving style, road conditions, and speed. The result is a car that feels even more connected, balanced, and composed, enhancing the Emira’s already exceptional chassis dynamics.
To operate correctly, the elec-TRON system comes supplied with the Nitron DCU (Damping Control Unit), along with the dedicated wiring harness and control switch, enabling seamless communication and user control of the suspension system.

Nitron elec-TRON Damper Control Unit (DCU)
Every Emira V6 Nitron elec-TRON kit comes supplied with the Nitron DCU, as it provides the electronic control necessary to convert the suspension from a passive damping configuration to a semi-active setup. The elec-TRON valve will continually adjust damping levels every 5 milliseconds, depending on the information it receives from the DCU. The DCU decides what position the valve should be in (and therefore what damping levels are created) by assessing all the data it receives about the car, its attitude and the forces acting on it (braking, cornering and accelerating).
By fitting a DCU in conjunction with elec-TRON shock absorbers, the Emira V6 not only benefits from having extremely high performance Nitron dampers, but these dampers will be constantly adjusting themselves to provide you with optimised levels of grip and comfort. The DCU is fitted with a 6 position rotary control switch which allows the user to access a number of preinstalled damping maps for their specific vehicle. Damping will continue to be constantly optimised, but the overall damping levels will be determined by the user’s selection.
