What is the elec-TRON range?
The elec‑TRON range represents a new benchmark in suspension technology, combining Nitron’s world-renowned engineering with cutting-edge electronic valve control. Built on decades of motorsport experience and precision craftsmanship, this system delivers adaptive damping performance with exceptional responsiveness and control.
At the heart of the system is Nitron’s proprietary proportional solenoid valve, offering precise, real-time adjustment of damping forces. Each shock absorber features an independent valve, enabling individual damping control at each wheel, a key factor in optimising handling, stability, and ride comfort.
The valve operates within a wide current range of 300 to 1800 milliamps, allowing fine-grained control from full firm to full soft settings. With an incredibly fast response time of just 6 to 8 milliseconds, the system adjusts seamlessly to changing driving conditions, delivering both performance and refinement.
Controlling both compression and rebound damping, the valve is piston rod-mounted, fine-tuning fluid flow through the damper by adjusting bleed characteristics of the shim stack. Integrated into Nitron’s gas-pressurised mono-tube design, it ensures consistent performance, thermal stability, and long-term reliability.
The elec‑TRON system is compatible with both our RoadSport, R1 (electronic adjustment only) and R3 (manual highand low-speed compression adjustment) kits, offering flexibility for a wide range of performance and tuning needs. The elec‑TRON RoadSport delivers motorsport-grade damping with full electronic control, seamlessly blending track-capable performance with daily drivability and OEM integration, making it the ideal choice for drivers who demand precision handling without compromising on comfort.
Whether on the road or the circuit, the Nitron elec‑TRON range delivers an intelligent, high-performance suspension solution designed for drivers who demand more from every mile.
What is the difference between the Nitron R1 and R3 suspension kits?
The key difference between the R1 and R3 kits is the level of adjustability and their intended use.
The R1 kit is designed for road and fast road applications. It features combined damping adjustment, making it simple to set up while still delivering a significant improvement in handling, stability, and ride quality. It’s an ideal choice for customers looking for a high-performance upgrade without the need for detailed tuning.
The R3 kit is designed for high-performance and track use. It offers independent adjustment of rebound and compression (including high- and low-speed compression), along with an external reservoir for greater control and consistency under demanding conditions. This allows for precise fine-tuning to suit different driving styles and environments.
In short, the R1 provides a straightforward, high-quality upgrade for everyday and occasional performance use, while the R3 is aimed at those who want maximum adjustability and ultimate performance potential.
What is a RoadSport kit?
A RoadSport kit is a suspension upgrade that uses OEM mounting points for easy fitment and delivers improved handling and stability on the road. It keeps a comfortable ride while offering a sportier driving experience—perfect for daily use and occasional spirited driving.
What is the Nitron FAL?
